Tip of The Day

Always back up your computer, because to clunking noises...are...NOT...normal.

I learnt this one the hard way.

Today

Today I am in a complete state of calmness.

Life lately has had it's trials. Emotions have been running a little high. Situations have been slightly harder to handle than normal. But you know what, we are never given anything in life that we can't handle.
I don't know if you believe in God, The Universe or Nature, whatever or whoever it is, I have come to find that we have been created stronger than we think we are.

So that is what I am running with. It helps me though each day, and each day seems to get easier.

Until next time

Where the Wild Roses Grow

A beautiful piece of art by M-a-e-e.

Just stunning, and to me demonstrates exactly how I'm feeling at this point in time. Things have been dead, almost frozen, and now, when I least expected it, they are coming alive. Great blooms of colour and imagination.

The Rose
By Bette Midler

Some say love it is a river
that drowns the tender reed
Some say love it is a razor
that leaves your soul to bleed

Some say love it is a hunger
an endless aching need
I say love it is a flower
and you it's only seed

It's the heart afraid of breaking
that never learns to dance
It's the dream afraid of waking that never takes the chance
It's the one who won't be taken
who cannot seem to give
and the soul afraid of dying that never learns to live

When the night has been too lonely
and the road has been too long
and you think that love is only
for the lucky and the strong
Just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snows
lies the seed
that with the sun's love
in the spring
becomes the rose

Forgotten Fairytales

This would have to be one of the most beautiful pictures I have come across in recent times. It is called "Forgotten Fairytales" by Zemotion. In my opinion an extremely talented artist who understands exactly how to capture emotion.

I love the colours and the textures. I love how your eyes move around the picture. Stunning, beautiful, haunting. To me it feels like you are getting a picture of this girls soul, like she is torn and broken, but the white symbolises some hope through all of it. I could be totally off, and this may not have been what the artist intended. But this is my take on this stunning piece of artwork.

Tip of the Day

Sometimes the best remedy is pancakes with icecream and maple syrup, and 80's rock.

The New Blogger

Well I'm not necessarily new, I am an old hand at blogging on paper. But I have decided to do the online thing. To put myself out there.

And what do I find when I go searching?

So many different people.

Artistic, young, old, athletic, inspirational, all people who have their take on life.

For all I add to my blog list.

I read your blogs because I like them. There may be many different reasons why I like them, but I like them.

Thank you for letting me into your world, as I hope to let you into mine.

Until next time

The Rain

Today sees more rain. Not as much as yesterday, but still one of those sleepy days.

I love the scent of rain. It always smells so fresh. And is it just me or does everything seem so much greener after the rain has fallen? And there is the mist, that thick blanket of cloud that makes you feel like you are crossing a barrier between worlds into faerie.

It's all so beautiful. It's days like these that I love to take a drive up the mountain. See the rainforest, smell the damp earth. I like to be places where no one else is, where it's quiet, where I can contemplate.

I love this photographer, jchanders. Especially because one of his photos always seems to capture the spirit of the place I would love to be, depending on what emotion I am feeling at the time.

Today, based on what I said above, and the peace and contemplation I am looking for, this photograph probably best represents where I would love to be right now.

Stunning!

Tip of the Day

Love people, but always show wisdom in who you let entirely into your life. Some people are friends for a season, some for a reason and some for life. Love them, but guard your heart. People after all are still people and no one is perfect, and a heart is your greatest asset and hard to mend when it is broken.

Hope

This absolutely stunning picture was created from the mind of Lara Jade who can be found here on deviantart, here on her website or here for those of us who love to read Blogs!

Its title : "In Place of Hope"

I'm not sure I totally understand the meaning of this, but to me, the picture with the title conveys a message of what people will do when they lose hope. They aren't necessarily "hopelss" rather their hope is tied up in other things. They find ways to fill the void left by hoplessness, however that may be for them.

It's kind of sad when you think about it, living life without hope, or trying to find things to hope in.

In any case, check out her work, she is fast becoming one of my favorite photographers.

I Shall Be Glad
By Grace Noll Crowel

If I can put new hope within the heart
Of one who has lost hope,
If I can help a brother up
Some difficult long slope
That seems too steep for tired feet to go,
If I can help him climb
Into the light upon the hill's far crest,
I shall begrudge no time
Or strength that I spend, for well I know
How great may be his need.
If I can help through any darkened hour,
I shall be glad indeed.

For I recall how often I have been
Distressed, distraught, dismayed,
And hands have reached to help, and voices called
That kept me unafraid.
If I can share this help that I have had,
God knows I shall be glad

Until we meet again.
